CLover is actually REALLy good for the soil. And strawberries are edible. I'm gonna plant me some strawberries in my backyard as edible ground cover.

I agree, Shannon. Lawns are a waste of water and resources. The lawn, when well-watered, naturally wants to progress to a FOREST, but people use chemicals to kill that off...dandelions are adding nutrients to the soil to get it prepared for the forest. We have lost that wisdom. 

It's sad, but the tide is turning very slowly. But we need to keep educating people...

This does not surprise me. Dr. Max Gerson fled the country when Hitler came to power and he used a low-fat vegan diet with tons of fresh -squeezed fruit and veggie juices to heal people with cancer. Hitler learned about it and wanted his soldiers to eat that way to become "lean, mean fighting-machines". I did not know that he wanted the rest of the country to eat that way, but it makes sense since he wanted to build a "master race".

That said, that expains why raw foods are so popular in Germany. Interesting.

I have longed for the Bible's description of paradise restored:


1)  "And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of a cobra, and upon the light aperature of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand."  (Isaiah 11:6-8)

2) "And He will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making them tremble.." (Micah 4:3,4) "Come, you people, behold the activities of God, how He has set astonishing events on the earth. He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth, the bow He breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; the wagons He burns in the fire. " (Psalms 46:9)

3) "And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. They will not build and someone else have occupancy, they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. " (Isaiah 65:21-23)

4) "And no resident will say "I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24) At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame one will climb up just as the stag does; and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness. (Acts 24:15)" Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his ovice and come out..(John 5:28, 29)  "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new." (Revelation 21:4, 5) "And He will actually swallow up death forever and God will certainly wipe the tears from all their faces...For I am creating a New Heavens and a New Earth; and the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart." (Isaiah 65:17)

7)  "And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of its broad way. And on this side of the river and on that side there were trees of life producing twelve crops of fruit, yielding their fruits each month. And the leaves of the of the trees were for the curing of the nations." (Revelation 22:1,2)

 "A generation is coming, a generation is coming, but the earth is standing to times indefinite." (Ecclesiastes 1:4) For this is what God has said, the Creator of the heavens, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited..." (Isaiah 45:18) "As regards the heavens, to God they belong. But the earth He has given to the sons of men." (Psalm 115:16) "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it." (Psalm 37:29) "But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came...to bring to ruin those ruining the earth." (Revelation 11:18)
